The International Phonetic Alphabet

On this site, I often use The International Phonetic Alphabet, a notation used to describe the sounds of spoken language.  Because not everybody is aquainted with the IPA, I have included a number of handy resources for the uninitiated:

Whenever possible I try to link back to these sections of the site, so dialect newbies won’t get confused.
